This week on the Pro-Life World View, we bring you interesting articles on President Trump’s key executive orders reversing anti-life and anti-family policies under President Biden’s previous administration, more on IVF, abortion, assisted suicide and more.

President Donald Trump signs Key Executive Orders relating to abortion, gender ideology, sex education and pro-life witness
In a rapid-fire series of Executive Orders, President Trump is reversing several policies put in place under the Biden Administration, including policies relating to abortion, gender ideology, sex education and pro-life witness. President Trump has:
- Instituted a new “One Flag Policy” ruling that only the American flag can fly on all US embassies and Government outposts (domestic and international). Therefore, flags such as Pride and Black Lives Matter are banned.
- Defunded the World Health Organization (again), meaning, for example, that the long-term efforts by WHO to push sexuality education and sexual rights for children will be curtailed in the US.[“Sexual rights” is a term promoted by the World Health Organization and other UN bodies and partner organisations to include the right of children to access to contraception regardless of age and to abortion, and to normalise for children and young people sex before marriage, same-sex relationships and masturbation – see here: It’s All One Curriculum]
- Reinstated the Mexico City Policy, which bans government funding of foreign organisations that provide or promote abortions.
- Pardoned 23 pro-life activists who were jailed under the Biden Administration for their peaceful pro-life protests.
- Signed a wide-ranging policy that removes gender ideology guidance, communication, policies, and forms from governmental agencies and explicitly affirms that the word “woman” means “adult human female.”
These are encouraging actions worthy of acclaim. At the same time, it should be noted that President Trump is also committed to continuing his support for the abortion pill (which is the most widely used method of abortion in the United States) and for in vitro Fertilisation technologies (in the name of making babies but which destroys far more embryonic lives than are born).

Luca Fairgray accused of lying about age to abortion clinic in underage sex case

Luca Fairgray accused of lying about his age in underage sex case
An abortion centre nurse says the accused, Luca Fairgray, lied about his age, saying he was 15 – he was 20 at the time. Mr Fairgray faces charges over his sexual relationship with a 13-year-old girl, which resulted in a pregnancy and the tragedy of an abortion. The case is ongoing.
Coercion and pressure are well-established risk factors that make many women, particularly abortion-vulnerable. As this case illustrates, it is a broader issue than domestic abuse.

How abortion and contraception are fruits of the same tree

How abortion and contraception are “fruits of the same tree”
We know that abortion – the killing of an unborn child before they draw their first breath – is a grave moral issue. But as Saint John Paul II said, “despite their differences of nature and moral gravity, contraception and abortion are often closely connected, as fruits of the same tree.”

Assisted suicide laws inevitably expand
Alex Schadenberg – Euthanasia Prevention Coalition
Once legal assisted suicide laws inevitably expand
The evidence is clear – it is not possible to safely legalise assisted suicide. Once legal, the law will inevitably expand. But whenever a jurisdiction is debating an assisted suicide and euthanasia bill – as is happening in the United Kingdom right now – many organisations and individuals present arguments about the “safeguards” needed.
This article succinctly summarises the wealth of evidence demonstrating the deeply flawed thinking behind the idea of so-called safeguards. There can be no valid justification for killing a person or helping them to commit suicide. As the article concludes: “Legislators need to know that we support caring for people and not abandoning them to death.“

Virginia bishop: IVF ‘contrary to justice,’ destroys many human lives

Virginia bishop: IVF contrary to justice, destroys many human lives
In a Pastoral letter, Arlington Bishop Michael Burbidge on Wednesday urged Catholic families to offer a “heroic witness” to love by rejecting the practice of in vitro fertilization (IVF), which the prelate called “contrary to justice [and] replete with moral difficulties.”
His letter clearly acknowledged the “natural desire for family” and the challenges faced by couples who are struggling with infertility. Read the linked article to learn what His Excellency had to say about morally licit means to address infertility, such as NaPro Technology, and the particular moral issues with IVF and surrogacy.

State of California agrees to end unprecedented prosecution of CMPs undercover video reporting

State of California agrees to end unprecedented prosecution of CMP undercover video reporting
The State of California reached an agreement with CMP founder and president David Daleiden and CMP undercover reporter Sandra Merritt to totally dismiss the unprecedented video recording prosecution first launched by then-Attorney General Kamala Harris. The agreement involves zero punishment (no jail time, no fines, no admission of wrongdoing, and no probation) in exchange for a new “no contest” plea by Daleiden and Merritt on a single video recording charge.
This protracted pursuit of CMP by the State’s Attorney General followed the stunning revelations of Planned Parenthood trading in the sale of ‘baby parts’ from aborted babies via the release by CMP of undercover video footage of discussions.
