Are you a highly organised, solutions-focused professional with strong business acumen and a heart for mission-driven work? Family Life International NZ is seeking an Operations Manager to join our senior leadership team and play a key role in the daily operations and long-term success of our charitable trust.

As Operations Manager, you will oversee and actively carry out core functions of the organisation, including finance, compliance, staffing, and organisational systems. You will ensure our mission is supported by strong infrastructure and well-managed resources, enabling us to serve families and protect human life at every stage.

You will work closely with the National Director and leadership team, contributing strategic insight while also handling day-to-day operational matters. This is a pivotal role requiring both leadership and hands-on execution across a range of areas.

  • Collaborate with the National Director to prepare and manage organisational budgets.
  • Oversee financial processes and reporting (experience with Xero essential).
  • Ensure compliance with charity law, health and safety, safeguarding, and other legal obligations.
  • Lead staffing and volunteer functions including hiring, onboarding, staff agreements, and policies.
  • Manage organisational systems to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Support staff and volunteers, ensuring they are equipped and encouraged in their roles.
  • Maintain and develop internal policies and procedures.
  • Provide operational insight to support strategic planning and decision making.
  • Proven experience in operations, business management, or similar leadership role.
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Competency with financial systems, especially Xero.
  • A strong understanding of compliance and governance in a charitable context.
  • A collaborative team player who thrives on supporting others to succeed.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Family Life International NZ.

At Family Life International, you’ll be part of a passionate, mission-driven team dedicated to serving life at every stage. Our work ranges from supporting mothers and their babies (before and after birth) to educating and equipping people of all ages and communities to recognise the dignity of human life and the importance of the family. This is a unique opportunity to make a tangible difference in people’s lives while helping shape the operational strength of a national organisation.
