Half of Abortion Patients’ Suicide Attempts Self-Attributed to Their Abortions, New Study of Random Sample

Half of Abortion Patients’ Suicide Attempts Self-Attributed to Their Abortions, New Study of Random Sample
A new peer-reviewed study has found that a third (35%) of women with an abortion history have attempted suicide. Although this is alarming, a similar outcome is true of women who had a natural pregnancy loss through miscarriage (30%). In contrast, 17% of women who had never been pregnant and 13% of women who had only ever given birth attempted suicide. Women who experienced abortion or miscarriage were more likely to attribute their suicidal thoughts and subsequent attempts to this loss, showing the deep connection between mother and baby.
Dr David Reardon of the Elliot Institute, who has dedicated decades to researching the harm abortion causes women, undertook the study. He noted, “This study disproves that argument that women who have abortions are simply more prone to suicide,”
“According to women themselves, both abortions and miscarriages directly contribute to their suicidal thoughts and behaviours. Moreover, the risk is especially high among those women who report feeling pressured into unwanted abortions,” he said.
The current study confirmed previous findings that only about one in three abortions is freely wanted and consistent with the woman’s values and preferences.

Nation with highest abortion rate embraces Abortion Pill Reversal
Abortion Pill Reversal (APR) offers hope to mothers who regret their decision to take chemical abortion pills. With over 6,000 babies’ lives saved through the APR protocol globally, there is a tangible and joyful reason for this hope.
Russia is one such nation that has embraced APR. Having legalised abortion in 1920, and, like in many other countries, the abortion pill cocktail of mifepristone and misoprostol is easily obtained. Step in Dr. Alexey Fokin, who was approached nine years ago by a mother regretting her decision to take the abortion pill. He immediately set to work to save the life of the baby which ultimately led him to do much work to ensure the Abortion Pill Reversal is widely available in Russia. One of his efforts is the Peredumala.ru project (translated as “Abortion Pill Stop”), a website aiming to reach as many mothers as possible with the hope of chemical abortion reversal.
A court finds Japan’s refusal to recognize same-sex marriage in law is unconstitutional
With steadfastness, the Japanese government has consistently held to the view that Japan’s civil code does not allow for same-sex “marriage.” They have upheld marriage as between one man and one woman and recognised the importance of natural reproduction. However, that position has been under fire with a five-year-long campaign of legal challenges in various regional High Courts. Nine of ten Court decisions have concluded that the government’s interpretation is “unconstitutional.” Activists are rejoicing in their wins, and it is anticipated that the Supreme Court will soon hear several appeals on this issue.

SA database donor conceived biological parents
Nancy Flanders – Live Action
South Australia database will help donor-conceived adults find biological parents
An online “Donor Conception Register” has been established in South Australia to help donor-conceived individuals locate their biological parent(s). The register will enable people to access information about their genetic background, and learn identifying information about their biological parent(s). Prior to 2004, gamete donors were promised anonymity, and the new register has led some to be outspoken about their wish not to know their offspring.
Reproductive technologies using anonymous donated gametes (usually for reward) invariably deny the conceived individual a relationship with one or both of their biological parents. One man illustrates the deep wound he experienced: “I did suffer from not knowing my family, I did suffer from not knowing my heritage, my place in the world and where I come from.”
FLI Comment:
South Australia ought to be commended for putting in place a register that connects individuals with their biological parent(s). This step acknowledges the need for people to know their heritage. It goes some small way toward rectifying a grave evil that can never be fully atoned for. The need for such a register does highlight the injustice of reproductive practices separating the conception of children from the loving marital embrace of a husband and wife. There are many moral evils involved in artificial reproductive technologies, whether using donor gametes or not. We must pray and work for such practices to come to an end.

NZ First Introduces Bill to Remove Woke ‘DEI’ Regulations from Public Service
“Woke hires” in the public service would be scrapped if a Member’s Bill introduced by Winston Peters this week becomes law. The Public Service (Repeal of Diversity and Inclusiveness Requirements) Amendment Bill seeks to reverse clauses in the Public Service Act 2020, which favour diversity, equity, and inclusive (DEI) hires in the public service rather than on ability. Mr Peters believes that, if the Bill is selected from the ballot, it; “would put an end to the woke left-wing social engineering and diversity targets in the public sector.“
