Christian Morality Goes to the Dogs

The Associated Press (via the Boston Globe) reported on 5 December, 2011 that the Democratic-controlled US Senate, in a 93-7 vote, passed the $662 billion 2012 NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act) and so took a bold step into a brave new world by overturning all the medieval bigotry of traditional Christian morality enshrined in section 925, Article 125 the US Uniform Code of Military Justice, namely,

925. ART. 125. SODOMY

(a) Any person subject to this chapter who engages in unnatural carnal copulation with another person of the same or opposite sex or with an animal is guilty of sodomy. Penetration, however slight, is sufficient to complete the offense.

(b) Any person found guilty of sodomy shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.

With the overturning of Article 125, members of the US military are now free to sodomise those who wish to be sodomised, whether man, woman or beast.

Of course, human nature being what it is, discrimination of some sort will sooner or later raise its ugly head.  To forestall this, one would hope that animal rights activists will take note and be proactive enough to ensure that, in this brave new world of the Obama Administration, some animals do not become more equal than others.  Specifically, dogs, sheep and horses should not be the only animals available to the amorous attentions of the US military (and in due time citizenry) but positive discrimination must be quickly enacted to ensure that bears, wolves and crocodiles are also given a look in.
